I personally have found Scot McKnight's easy to read study, "A Community Called Atonement," to be a really helpful tool in teaching the breadth of atonement theology to the folk in my church family. I highly recommend it.dougdoylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12705927895351455377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24859567.post-40055428631106926432009-01-03T08:30:00.000-08:002009-01-03T08:30:00.000-08:00Thank-you for the post, Franklin. Yet, it is a theology of Christ, not the theology of the cross which I desire to explore. It is Christ whom I desire to "know" evermore. I have an intimate, personal relationship with the Person of Jesus Christ who suffered and who reigns on High in the heavenly realm. This is central to my faith. I do not have a relationship with an impersonal cross. We need to speak of the Person of Jesus Christ, and His offer of salvation. He alone saves. Today's generation of young, unchurched persons are very relational. It is important that we, as Spirit-filled ambassadors of Christ, represent Him as a personal, relational Saviour, and that our conversations focus around Him and His social network (community)!NewWordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13469888824553640577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24859567.post-6154426825799683602008-12-25T17:02:00.000-08:002008-12-25T17:02:00.000-08:00Let me see if I get this straight. What are we set free from?<BR/>Are these the questions you need answered? And if answered what is the standard by which you will judge correct or not correct?Theodore A.
